Germaine Graham

Speech and Language Pathologist

Germaine Graham, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a bilingual (American Sign Language (ASL)/English)
speech-language pathologist (SLP) and private practitioner specializing in language development
and intervention for Deaf and hard-of-hearing children. As founder and lead clinician of
Deafinitely Communicating, Germaine integrates ASL and spoken English into evidence-based,
child-centered care to support language access, communication development, and academic
achievement. Germaine is a two-time graduate of Jackson State University in Jackson,
Mississippi and holds a Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders.
With more than 15 years of experience across schools for the Deaf, public education, and private
practice, she provides comprehensive assessments, bilingual therapy, auditory training, and
parent coaching. Germaine also collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams, including
teachers of the Deaf, educational interpreters, audiologists, and early intervention providers. She
is passionate about helping families and the community at large understand the importance of
early language acquisition, its impact on the brain, and the benefits of ASL for Deaf children.
Her interest in American Sign Language and the Deaf community started in high school. While
working her first job at McDonalds, Germaine met the 2 Deaf adults that would change the
course of her life. This God encounter planted seeds that continue to flourish today as evidenced

by Germaine’s involvement in both local and national initiatives to support Deaf and hard-of-
hearing children and their families/caregivers.
