Empowering Deaf students through language & culture

Victory Deaf Academy (VDA) is Arizona’s first bilingual/bicultural private school dedicated to Deaf students in grades K-12. At VDA, we provide a Deaf-centered learning environment where American Sign Language (ASL) is the primary language of instruction and written English literacy is explicitly taught. We empower Deaf students with a strong foundation in language, academics, and self-identity.

Our Core Values

Team

We work together as one. Every student, staff member, and family is part of a united effort, supporting one another and celebrating shared success.

We aim to help every student experience meaningful achievement—academically, socially, and personally. Every success, big or small, matters.

Whatever It Takes

We go above and beyond to ensure students have the tools, support, and opportunities they need—no matter the challenge.

No excuses

We believe in accountability, not blame. Obstacles are met with determination and a commitment to finding solutions.

100% Everyday

We give our best, every day, in every interaction. This relentless pursuit of excellence defines who we are and how we serve.

Our Vision

Be Victorious in Everything We Do

This guiding belief shapes every decision we make. At Victory Deaf Academy, victory is not just an outcome—it’s a way of life. Whether in academics, communication, or personal growth, our students are encouraged to pursue excellence with resilience, pride, and purpose.

Our Program Model and Promise

We promise to empower Deaf students through language & culture

ASL-Rich Learning Environment

Students thrive in an immersive ASL-first setting that supports natural language development. ASL as the first language and written English as the second language.

Inclusive & Accessible Education

Our curriculum is designed for visual learners, incorporating innovative technology and teaching methods tailored to Deaf students.

Technology-Enhanced Learning

Use of visual tools, captioned media, and interactive resources.

STEM &
Arts Integration

A balanced curriculum incorporating science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

Small Class Sizes & Individualized Support

Personalized instruction helps every child reach their full potential.

Deaf Culture &
Identity

We celebrate Deaf history, ASL literature, and Deaf role models to build pride and confidence in our students.  We also incorporate ASL story telling and self advocacy training.

Strong English Literacy Program

Using research-backed strategies, we ensure that students develop reading and writing proficiency in English.  With our structured literacy approach, we focus on English grammar, reading comprehension, and writing development.

OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES

At Victory Deaf Academy, our approach is anchored in three core principles that shape the student experience:

Connection

Strong, authentic relationships are at the heart of our school. Through trust and empathy, we foster meaningful connections among students, staff, and families—building a foundation for emotional well-being and academic success.

Community

Belonging matters. Our inclusive culture embraces diversity, uplifts every voice, and celebrates unity. Together, we create a safe, welcoming environment where everyone is valued.

Confidence

We empower students to discover their voice, embrace their identity, and believe in their potential. With support and encouragement, our learners grow into self-advocates who meet challenges with courage and pride.

We are now enrolling for the 2025-2026 school year!
