Tara Scarcella

Tara Scarcella holds a Bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Her passion for accessibility, advocacy, and inclusive communication began early in her career, when she worked as a Direct Support Professional in a group home serving Deaf and intellectually disabled adults. She is also a certified Support Service Provider (SSP) for individuals who are DeafBlind and has received specialized training in Protactile ASL.

Tara brings four years of experience as an educational interpreter, having supported students from kindergarten through high school in both general and special education settings. In addition to her interpreting background, she is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with hands-on experience delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in both clinical environments and self-contained special education classrooms.

Currently pursuing a degree in Deaf Education, Tara is deeply committed to empowering Deaf and hard-of-hearing students through language access, individualized support, and meaningful connection. Her interdisciplinary expertise in interpreting, behavior support, and education reflects her belief that every student deserves to be seen, heard, and valued.
